Zanzibar wild life

Wild life is on your doorstep with turtles returning to the beaches to lay their eggs under the care of a turtle conservation programme. Not far away is Jozani Forest which is a forestry reserve; the only habitat for the Colobus monkey, and a place to explore the mangrove forest on raised walkways to observe the species in this rare environment.

Otherwise there are spice plantations to visit nearby. Also flowering trees, such as ylang ylang, used in perfumes; out at sea the marine reserve of Chumbe Island where conservation work goes on and guests can visit to contribute, participate or observe whales, dolphins and turtles. A 20 minute plane hop from Stone Town is Saadani Game Reserve. Here ZBH Co house owners can visit and stay on a private game reserve only a couple of hours from your house.

Socially the scene becomes more and more lively as festivals and seasonal parties to celebrate local events grow in popularity, frequency and attendance.

There is more to do than just honeymoon, and we hope that our future owners will become involved in whatever it is that attracts them from sports to conservation.
